Chitkara University的简介
Chitkara University was established in the year 2010, by the Punjab State Legislature under "The Chitkara University Act 2010". It is a government-recognised university with the right to confer degrees as per the Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Strategic location: The sprawling Campus of the University is located on the Chandigarh – Patiala National Highway NH-07 and is equidistant from five major cities viz. Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala and Patiala. This makes the campus all-weather accessible to students and staff.
Bouquet of programs having professional value: The University offers multi-disciplinary and industryrelevant programs. From business management to programs in nursing and medical laboratory technologies; from computer science, electronics and mechanical engineering to programs in hotel management and architecture, Chitkara University, Punjab is a veritable cornucopia of educational services.
Ethical Legacy and practices: The University takes pride in its legacy set by its founding members Dr Ashok K Chitkara and Dr Madhu Chitkara – ethical academicians mathematicians of repute. They started their journeys as school-teachers and went on to become entrepreneurs to establish an engineering college with the sole purpose of imparting quality education. Since its inception in 2002 as an affiliated college to Punjab
Technical University, there had been no capitation fee and since then, the students are being admitted purely on merit. Later, when University status was granted to the Institute in 2010, the same practice continued, and the reputation of the Institute grew over the years. Due to the ethical practices adopted and the reputation earned, now the application ratio stands at 1:10, endorsing the University as the choicest place for students seeking quality education.
